Oh the stress

Well there is less than two weeks until my medical school and I am pretty much freaking out. I feel like I should be preparing but right now I don't have time. I have three midterms this week and the rough draft of my 12-15 page paper due. Life is so stressful. Honestly, I looked at the student handbook for the med school I want to go to and got so discouraged and asked myself if this is really for me. It is so intimidating. I have to spend like a zillion hours in lab, freshmen and sophomores have to go to summer semester so I will be in school from August 11-June 19, and I can't wear jeans or sweat pants ever. I know the last item shouldn't be that much of a shock because I am now at like a professional level, but it is still school. I freaking have to dress up for school everyday. I am getting mentally worn out from the stress of midterms and my interview. I will be so glad when the next two weeks are over but I know that I am also going to have tons of regret. I am one of those people that right after I get out of taking a test looks up the answers to problems I wasn't sure about so I know after my interview I will look back on how I answered questions and beat myself up about my answers. And according to somebody that has already had an interview at PNU, they ask very specific, hard questions. I guess we will see how it goes.
So at this point, dropping out of school and eating government issued cheese with Mykaila down by the river sounds fantastic. Not really a big fan of vans though. There is an old school bus down the road that I think is for sale.
I am also wishing I had changed my voters registration so I could go to the caucus tomorrow at Western and actually participate. I don't have the time to drive down to Sultan to get involved. It is pretty cool to me that Washington could really effect the outcome of the democratic nomination.

I agree. A school bus would be top.

Don't worry too much about dressing up for school. I wear khakis (and polos) three days a week, and an insane full dress uniform one day a week, it's not so bad. Sweaters, nice shirts, and black/khaki pants all the time. Just get staple stuff. Then when you get home you get to put on sweatpants, and it's the greatest feeling in the world. Aaah. I live for that moment every Monday (or other dress uniform day).

It may be crap advice, but I would say don't stress too much about an interview. I know that's hard, but if you're worried too much about it, it won't go well. Study, but don't force anything and don't beat yourself up about your answers right after saying them.

Finally,
DO NOT QUESTION IF THIS IS REALLY FOR YOU. You can't know that right now. However, if you start school and you're 100% sure that this isn't the deal for you, then I will be behind you 150%. But don't give up now. Hard work us usually worth it.

Remember to take time for yourself. Do something nice for yourself every day, like buy yourself flowers, go for a walk, go to bed early, eat Ben & Jerry's while watching Breakfast at Tiffany's. Whatever does it for you. (:

Lame about the caucus.
I just got home from it. It was fantastic. So much energy.
I think Obama has Washington. But I'm not sure. It's an exciting year to be a voter. And a not voter! Woot.
Although, at our location, the room had a maximum occupany of 64, and at the point where we had the most people, we had 147. Uh...

Oh, Meaghan. You're just like me... we're too hard on ourselves. We take too many credits, and get mad when we get an answer wrong on a test.

Everything will work out.

Mykaila basically said it all.

I love you, and after all this is done, we shall drink some coronas and cosmos.
