In less than a week...

...I will be in the Dominican Republic. We will be taking a bus from Santa Domingo into Haiti. Oh the adventure that awaits. We will be in Chambrun, Haiti till Friday afternoon and then we have to make our way back to the DR to fly out on Saturday. We then will become very familiar with the Newark airport being that we have a 24 hour layover there. The local news station, KTVO, is covering our trip and did a pretrip interview with some of the students going. They gave us a video camera to take with us to record the journey and will be doing exit interviews. Hopefully we will get some good footage and a few of us are bringing cameras as well. We do have to be careful taking pictures of Haitians though as they believe pictures can take away a person's soul. Such a different culture.
