So I have been really stressed about figuring out a research topic that was comparable to others that have been done in the lab I am working in. Well, I think I have finally come up with my research direction. I am going to be testing a protein that binds to the outside of melanoma cells and drives the cell to migrate to new tissue where it undergoes metastasis. Metastasis of melanoma generally occurs in the lungs. I am excited to start my research, wish I didn't have these pesky classes to take up my time.
Other than school, I haven't had much time to do much else. I will be so glad when this quarter is over. Bring on November 20th.
